Kittery, ME following a competitive RFP bid process has entered into a three year contract with CAI Technologies to provide Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Management services. The project shall consist of conversion of their Tax Maps into ESRI geodatabase format, implementing our AxisGIS online platform and providing annual parcel data maintenance services. Spatial accuracy of the Town’s existing parcel data shall be improved by aligning it with the most currently available orthoimagery. Following the conversion and updating of the parcel data, CAI shall setup and configure AxisGIS for the Town. AxisGIS is an easy to use yet powerful online mapping service developed/hosted by CAI and is currently contracted in over 350 communities throughout the Northeast. AxisGIS will make the Town’s map/GIS layers and Vision Assessment data available to Staff and the public through a searchable mapping interface.
