Since Cartographic Associates, Inc. was founded in 1985, our mission has been to develop long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with our clients. As CAI Technologies, our mission has not changed.

President
Franco has been with CAI Technologies since it was founded as Cartographic Associates, Inc. in 1985. He spent several years as the lead mapping specialist for municipal mapping projects before he was promoted to vice president responsible for the ongoing maintenance of all clients’ data. Franco became a principal in the firm in 1992.
As President and Director of CAI Technologies, Franco continues to be responsible for ongoing client maintenance and relationships. He is also responsible for corporate direction and development as well as all aspects of day-to-day operations, including finance and human resources.
Vice President
Tim has more than 30 years of experience in GIS and related technologies. He is responsible for providing overall management and corporate direction of the firm’s professional GIS Services. Tim earned a BS in geography and meteorology from Plymouth State College. He has years of experience applying GIS in state, regional, and local government, public safety, and distributed utilities.
Tim’s comprehensive GIS experience includes all aspects of planning, implementation, and on-going management of GIS. He works closely with our clients to design and integrate sustainable GIS solutions based on user needs. Tim became a principal in the firm in 2008, and in 2010, he earned certification as a GIS Professional (GISP) by the GIS Certification Institute.
Chief Technology Officer
Sean has more than 30 years of experience applying GIS technology to solve problems in local and state government as well as water/wastewater utilities. He holds a BS from the University of Vermont and an MS in Managing Innovation and Information Technology from Champlain College. Sean’s career has been spent as a GIS consultant, with nearly a decade as an independent GIS programmer.
Since joining CAI Technologies in 2011 as Chief Technology Officer, Sean has been responsible for guiding investments in technology and skill building. He is the lead architect of all of the firm’s software product offerings and is responsible for the promotion of technological innovation to support client and internal needs.
