York, ME contracts with CAI to create a cemetery inspection application. Maine municipalities are required by State law to maintain any cemetery that is either older than 1880 or has a Veteran buried in it. In York, there are over 200 cemeteries meeting these criteria so the Town needed a way to track and report on maintenance of them. Taking advantage of the Town’s existing ArcGIS Online (AGOL) organization, CAI configured a field inspection app using Collector for ArcGIS as well as an Administrative Viewer Web App in AGOL. As crews complete maintenance and perform inspections using their iPad in the field, supervisors can see real-time in the Administrative Viewer the work which has been completed. Reports can then be exported from the Administrative Viewer showing maintenance history as well as identifying any cemeteries that require additional maintenance.
