Sanford, ME in addition to contracting with CAI to provide continued GIS support to all municipal departments, the City also has contracted with CAI to migrate their data into our standardized geodatabase maintenance data model. Having the GIS parcel data in the CAI maintenance data model allows CAI staff to perform maintenance more efficiently and ensure data quality. Once migrated CAI will perform parcel data maintenance on a regular basis. As the parcel data is updated it will be uploaded to the City’s AxisGIS service allowing staff and the public access to the most current and authoritative parcel data available. AxisGIS is an easy to use yet powerful online mapping service developed/hosted by CAI and is currently contracted in over 550 communities.
