Cavendish, VT contracted with CAI Technologies to provide Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services. Initially, CAI converted the Town’s Tax Maps into our standardized ESRI geodatabase maintenance data model and performed a backlog of parcel maintenance edits. Once the mapping project was completed, CAI implemented our AxisGIS online platform and will provide annual parcel data maintenance services going forward. AxisGIS is an easy to use yet powerful online mapping service developed/hosted by CAI and is currently contracted in over 500 communities. AxisGIS will make the Town’s map/GIS layers and Assessment data available to Staff and the public through a searchable mapping interface. Additionally, CAI also configured “Staff Site” access to the AxisGIS service allowing various Town staff to access data layers and tools not available to the public through a secure login service. https://www.cai-tech.com/axisgis/
