Manchester, ME recently hired CAI Technologies to perform a digital conversion of their Tax Maps and implement our online GIS platform. Funding for the project was made possible through use of ARPA funds the Town received. CAI began by first digitizing the Town’s existing Tax Maps to overlay the most currently available orthoimagery. The newly created GIS data was then updated current to 4/1/23, and linked with the Town’s Trio Assessment database. Following the conversion, CAI setup and configured AxisGIS for the Town. AxisGIS is an easy to use yet powerful online mapping service developed/hosted by CAI and is currently contracted in over 500 communities. AxisGIS will make the Town’s map/GIS layers and Trio Assessment data available to Staff and the public through a powerful and searchable mapping interface.
